NSO is seeking proposals for the 2011 Winter Advocacy Retreat.

If you have an area of expertise to share with your colleagues from around the country to help them become better, stronger advocates, please complete the Request for Proposals (RFP) and return it to Lynn Adler, NSO Vice President for Program by July 25, 2010.

The 2011 NSO WAR College will be held in Orange County, California, January 15 & 16, 2011.


What is the NSO Winter Advocacy Retreat?

NSO has been offering the Winter Advocacy Retreat for the past 22 years. It is a time to gain and enhance your skills and knowledge to grow strong. Program offerings are reflective of the NSO philosophy - to enable our members to be the best advocates they can be. There are sessions for everyone, from first-time attendees to the many repeat participants. As always, NSO provides the very best trainers available - your colleagues.

As a union, NSO is committed to growing advocates for its future to lead, promote, secure and defend the hard earned rights for its affiliates and members.

Past classes have included: Basic Labor Law, Bargaining Health Insurance, Treasurers Workshop, Arbitration training, and Contract Issues and Insights.

Registration for the 2011 WAR College, complete with classes offered, will be available in the fall.
