Here is the contract language regarding donating hours to the Sick Leave Bank.

9.4 Sick Leave and Reporting Illness

D. Sick Leave Bank

A sick leave bank for employees will be established. The following criteria apply:

1) A donation to the sick leave bank is voluntary. Employees must have 56 days (420 hours) of

sick leave accumulated to be eligible to donate. No person may donate more than six days

per year.

Scarlett will be creating a spreadsheet of donated leave and forwarding it to Emelie Hagberg for processing. She will send an email confirmation to the donors once this process is complete.

Currently the Sick Leave Bank balance is 131.70 hours (17.5 days)

The WEASO Sick Leave Bank Committee (following its meeting on October 7, 2010) made recommendations to the WEASO Executive Board to adopt the following change to the current Guidelines:

3. Administration: The WEASO President make an annual request for Sick Leave Bank donations, possibly every October.

This recommendation was approved by the Board on October 12, 2010.
